Want the cheapest premium?

All basic insurance models cover the same benefits. Only the terms of access and the premiums vary. You commit for a calendar year, and if the model or deductible do not suit you, you can change once a year.
1
Choose an alternative model to basic insuranceFor basic insurance, you can choose between several models.
  • The standard model allows you to consult all doctors freely, without any special conditions.
  • Alternative models are cheaper, but include certain rules. For example, you need to go through a family doctor or telemedicine first. In return, depending on the model you choose, you can enjoy numerous benefits such as pharmacy discounts, access to an expert practice, preventive examinations, etc.
2
Increase your deductibleThe higher the deductible, the lower the monthly premium.
A high deductible is recommended for those who expect low medical expenses during the year.
Conversely, if you visit doctors regularly, a lower deductible normally works better for you.

Frequently asked questions

What is a deductible?
The deductible is common to all insurers in Switzerland. It is the amount that you must pay, in addition to your monthly premiums, before Assura reimburses your medical costs. Once you have reached the amount of your deductible, you only pay 10% of your invoices up to a maximum of CHF 700 for an adult and CHF 350 for a child: this is known as coinsurance. The deductibles for an adult range from CHF 300 to CHF 2'500. The amount of the deductible influences the sum of the insurance premiums.
